5.0 out of 5 stars   Religion meets Humanity ,  August 28, 2012 By  steveh  -  See all my reviews This review is from:  A Lost Shepherd (Perfect Paperback) If you are, as I am, looking for inspiration and help to understand why the Church sometimes seems to "get in the way" of our Faith, look no further. The courage Mike had to share his story is a gift to those blessed enough to read it. My faith journey now makes sense and I know I'm not alone. The reason you can't put this book down is because someone finally wrote about what you've been thinking or feeling. We thirst for help understanding our Clergy as human beings like us. HERE'S YOUR OPPORTUNITY! READ THE BOOK: OPEN THE DOOR TO A NEW UNDERSTANDING: & THANK GOD FOR GIVING US A LOST SHEPHERD.

I am a slow learn. Recently I began a Facebook page for the book, A Lost Shepherd. please stop over and say hello and give it a 'like' Thanks to Fr. Larry Richards and Wayne Weible for lending their voices in publicizing the story. Also, we have some space for this October's pilgrimage to Medjugorje.  Why not come along? This review made it way to me this morning. Your honesty and ability to pull people in to what you were feeling are examples of the gifts you have received.  Your words took me back to Medjugorje and I will always be eternally grateful to you and Wendy for including me in a life changing experience.  I pray that you continue to share God’s message and that of the Blessed Mother.  Take care Thanks and God Bless!

From Amazon... A Lost Shepherd, from beginning to end, keeps you wanting to know more, with each and every page that you turn. It brought tears streaming down my face in the midst of many pages, a chuckle here and there. But most of all it brought a sense of hope for all. A hope that despite all our faults, God is truly for us and he will help us with our journey, just ASK. Thank you Michael for sharing and may we all feel God's Mercy and Love!

Mary's fiat united her with God. She said "Yes, be it done to me according to His will." Therefore her will is united to God's will. And her time is united to God's time. I believed that it was her will that I write A Lost Shepherd. Along the way and through the years there were glimpses of her presence in the midst of the work.  From encouraging complete honesty and forthrightness to putting the right people in place helping the project along in a rather remarkable way.  I hoped that one day the story would help just one soul--be it a lost priest, and ex-priest, a fallen away catholic, a married couple, dad or mom--just one soul to get back to God and His Church. So now I am in the midst of another lesson from Our Blessed Mother--patience. This is probably one of the worst times in publishing history to release a book. Today I heard an interview on the radio of a bookstore owner in NYC who was closing up shop. The publishing world is in turmoil. Jus...

A recent review of A Lost Shepherd-- from amazon.com "...  a special talent for not only telling stories, but also connecting with his audience. This book is a roller coaster of suspense, failure, and triumph. Not only is it a joy to read, but it is also a source of inspiration. "Rips" has the courageousness to share his mistakes with the world, reminding each and everyone of us that we are not perfect, and that faith is a life-long battle. He has undoubtedly been called in one way or another to lead others to Christ, and is a prime example that anything is possible when you "put it on the altar" and allow the Holy Spirit into your heart."

New Hope Press has the book and is ready to ship to you. Medjugorje Web  also has the book available for your purchase. Amazon also has the book in stock. Thanks and God Bless (check out the pilgrimage page--Late October into November is a great time and temperature to travel)

Now there are two ways to purchase online. New Hope Press and Amazon.com Thanks and God Bless. -Michael Today is the Feast of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus. Immerse yourself in His heart.

Dionysius "...And yesterday I came across another kind of witness to the grace and mercy of God.  It is a book entitled  "A Lost Shepherd" An ex-priest's Journey from Sin to Salvation  by Michael Ripple...I'll let the comments from the cover by Father Larry Richards speak for the book. "Come and walk with a man on his journey from faith, to sin, to redemption.  It is the story of the power of grace and the love of our Father and how he calls each of us home no matter how far we might have strayed.  Read this book and believe in Christ's mercy and redemption and you will be touched!"  The book is published by New Hope Press.      I give Mike gre...
